Overview
RFID identification technology
Built on electromagnetic RFID identification technology, the electronic toll collection solution delivers smart, efficient operation that meets the requirements of modern traffic management.
The system is designed to flexibly integrate advanced identification technology with traditional toll methods (license plate recognition, laser identification), combined with an image- and data-based post-audit system, ensuring the toll process is automatic, accurate and transparent.
System architecture
Two main layers
The system structure is clearly divided into two main layers.
Front-end
Front-end system
Includes an automatic vehicle identification system using radio waves (RFID); an automatic vehicle classification system using light curtains and laser scanners; and a post-audit system combining license plate recognition with dedicated imaging cameras and a video management and image-location system.
Back-end
Back-end system
Integrated with payment gateways and cashless payment technologies; ready to connect to the back-end systems of other electronic toll service providers in Vietnam; and linked with related databases (such as the vehicle inspection database) to automate customer information synchronization, ensuring centralized and seamless management.
Ready to scale
With a configuration synchronized from the toll station to central processing, the HITD solution not only solves automatic toll collection but is also ready to extend to future smart traffic management functions.
